Steve Cunningham became blind at the age of 12 but he has never let that fact hold him back. Some of his achievements so far are thus:
- Former holder of the World Junior Blind Sprint Title at 100 metres;
- Member of the 1989 GB athletic team at the Disabled European Championships in Zurich;
- Founder and captain of the England Blind Football Team;
- Member of the England Blind Cricket Team;
- His golf handicap is 14;
- He holds a land speed record in a Chrysler Dodge Viper with a highest recorded speed of over 176 mph;
- He holds an offshore powerboat record in a V24 BAT boat less than a second slower of the world record at 74.4 mph;
- He is founder of Blindvision and Inspiration Ltd.
